Welcome to Cats Protection Telford & District Branch

We’re here to support cats and kittens in Telford, covering postcodes: TF1, TF10, TF11, TF12, TF13, TF2, TF3, TF4, TF5, TF6, TF7, TF8 and TF9.

Run by a small team of dedicated, cat-loving volunteers, we’re dedicated to improving the lives of cats and kittens in Telford, working to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, offering support with neutering, and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within the Telford area. Cat adoption in Telford

Could you provide a loving new home for a cat in Telford? During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship. 

Our cats are always neutered, microchipped and vaccinated prior to rehoming, and come with four weeks of free insurance. You’ll also receive a follow-up call or email around three, seven and 21 days after the adoption to check that your new arrival is settled in. From 1 April 2024 our standard adoption fee is £85 however if you are adopting a kitten (aged 6 months or less) from us an additional £10 kitten supplement will apply (a total adoption fee of £95).

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Telford & District Branch simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.

Visit us:

You can visit us in person at our permanent stall in Wellington Indoor Market. We are located next to the fruit and veg store, just look out for the Cats Protection flags!

Our opening times are:

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday – 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Saturday – 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

We also participate in the monthly late-night market events.
